In April of 2008, the Chamber hosted their Professional Women's Forum & Business Showcase. All women of the workforce including professionals, employers, self-employed, and their staff are invited to a luncheon for 150 with keynote speakers followed by a business showcase and networking happy hour. The purpose of this Forum is to equip and encourage professional business women to "Thrive, and Not Just Survive!" This year's Forum's speakers were Peyton Patterson, President and CEO of NewAlliance Bank, Rita Anderson, founder and owner of Diminishing Dimensions and Deborah Smith, owner of Proforma/Graphicworks.
