Thank you for belonging to the CT River Valley Chamber of Commerce (formerly the Glastonbury & East Hartford Chambers). In these difficult economic times, a Chamber membership is more valuable than ever before. The CRV Chamber works hard to provide the best service possible to our members. Through programs and services, networking events, advocacy work and much more, the CRV Chamber provides opportunity for all members to better their businesses and become involved in the local community. Here’s a quick summary of our key programs and events:
Chamber Annual Meeting: The dinner meeting you don’t want to miss, meet the new board, cheer on our Member and Ambassadors of the Year and connect with over 200 business owners as we kick off a new year!
Fiesta Cinco De Mayo Auction: Annual fundraiser with the Cinco De Mayo theme in 2016.
CT Farm & Folk Festival: A dozen musical acts, high-end food trucks and local farmers market, this one day event in May is a great way for families to welcome back spring.
CRVC Classic: Our annual tournament with a full field of players and Jet Blue Challenge, 3 holes in one, Tiki Bar and other activities facilitates networking while enjoying a relaxing day of golf.
34th Glastonbury Riverfront Music Series: Four Wednesday nights in July, held at the Welles Street Riverfront Park 7 to 9pm. Vendors selling ice cream and food and offsite parking with free shuttle busses available.
43rd Apple Harvest Festival: The largest Chamber and Glastonbury event of the year Over 120 crafters, 30 food vendors, family entertainment, and carnival rides. Over 18,000 in attendance.
Angry Orchard 5K: Sunday morning at the Apple Harvest Festival. Over 800 runners and a Kids’ Fun Run!
Speaker Series: Panel discussions on pertinent topics such as the Opioid Epidemic and the Impact of Sports in our region.
Special Interest Groups: Health & Wellness Council & Women of the Workforce (WOW)
Leads Exchange Group: 1st & 3rd Thursdays to hone your 30-second commercial and request referrals.
Leads at Lunch: 2nd Thursday of each month. 30-second commercial and request referrals.
Business After Hours: Monthly casual networking event (5-7 pm) hosted by a member to showcase their business. Typical attendance of 60-80.
New Residents Program: For a nominal fee per resident, Chamber members may promote their business to our newcomers in a packet mailed to their home.
Interactive member database: Can’t leave the office to engage? Visit www.crvchamber.org Members Only Section can be accessed with credentials provided to each member allows you to enhance your profile, add social media links, employee changes, description about your businesses, post job openings and discounts for the community to see.
Staying Connected: The CT River Valley Chamber brings the latest headlines, upcoming events and programs for the week directly to your inbox each Monday in the Highlights. On Thursdays, you can expect the Chamber Connection which is a composite of all the blog postings from the previous week. This is full of member news and current happenings. We are also active on Facebook and Twitter.
Workforce Partnership: The CT River Valley Chamber is pleased to be joining with Goodwin College's Workforce Partnership Program. Chamber members are eligible for the partnership tuition discount of 25% discount, provided they are current members in good standing.
We understand your time is valuable, and, even if you are unable to attend Chamber events, please know your membership investment is working full-time on your behalf to advocate for pro-business policies and bolster our local economy.
