The East of the Rivers Chambers of Commerce Association (ERCCA) was established over 25 years ago and is a coalition of six independent Chambers of Commerce: East Hartford, Glastonbury, Manchester, North Central, South Windsor, and Tolland County. Each Chamber recognizes each other as an equal partner. Corporately,
ERCCA represents 28 towns in Eastern Connecticut and more than 35,000 business members.
As a coalition, ERCCA seeks to represent the common interests its members by communicating with them concerning regional or state legislative actions that may affect their operations and by providing regional promotional and/or networking opportunities.
Business members of the six Chambers are members of ERCCA and encouraged to participate in our bi-annual networking events including a Business After Hours and a family event.
ERCCA serves on the Hartford Springfield Economic Partnership also known as New England’s Knowledge Corridor. Linked by the Connecticut River and I-i1, Greater Hartford and Springfield form an economic powerhouse working to attract business, industry and employees to the region. ERCCA members are invited to the Annual Summit.
ERCCA provides support and participates in Connecticut Business Day at the State Capitol. Held in March, Business Day provides members with the opportunity to meet their local legislators in a informal atmosphere to discuss issues important to their businesses.
ERCCA serves on the Steering Committee for the Connecticut Business Expo. This state-wide business-to-business event showcases more than 500 businesses and draws more than 5,000 attendees. ERCCA has display space at the Expo.
